I experienced what might have been the worst menstrual cramps of my life last night. They woke me just before 2am and kept me awake until nearly 5am. I told [ profile] mckitterick 4am, but as I was typing this, I remembered seeing the clock at 4:37. They came in waves, like birth contractions (which, you know, they kind of are) and were so strong that at certain points I had to bury my face in a pillow because I couldn't not make noise and I didn't want to wake [ profile] mckitterick (who, btw, sleeps in another room that is how worried I was about the noise I was making). This morning my feet hurt from my toes curling, my ankles are sore from me rubbing my feet on them for distraction, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have bruises on my thighs from gripping them so hard during particularly bad moments. I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like torture. They just wouldn't stop. I'd get a few moments (maybe twenty seconds every fifteen or twenty minutes) where my uterus would rest for a moment and then it would all start again. For three hours. I'm fucking exhausted. The intensity of the cramps might have been partially caused by the rolling-out session I did before bed where I targeted my groin and psoas muscles. I think I might have given myself an accidental Mayan Abdominal Massage or something similar.

I really really really hope I somehow manage to avoid having my period during the con.
