Good thing: Double-H is replacing my boots since the strap couldn't be fixed. I should have new boots in a week and a half.
Annoying thing: I got a coupon for $4 shipping from this online underwear catalog and the bras I like are on sale. But not in stock in my size. And no rain checks. This happened last month, too. Only then it was free shipping. Fuckers. I think it's a plot.

A good idea for a Mix CD (wow, no more mix tapes anymore--times change): Covers that are better than the originals. I'd love to hear opinions on what you'd put on there. Here are my votes:

I've been thinking about writing lately. Pondering the possibility of doing creative non-fiction (a term I laughed at first time I heard it but now it makes sense). Oh for more time.

Ta-freaking-da:

1. Made a name for myself that is so appropriate, people tell me it suits me without even being prompted.
   
2. Shopped for shoes in Milan (and Cancún).
   
3. Organized an improvisational acting troupe (that had actual Public Performances) at my high school.
   
4. Was the only freshman in my high school (that year) to win a state award for art.
   
5. Made a five day vacation wardrobe (with different outfits for day and night wear) in one week.
   
6. Celebrated New Year’s Eve on the steps of Jackson Square with my lovers.
   
7. Listened to my grandmother die over the course of four days in the bedroom next to mine.
   
8. Climbed to the top of the big pyramid at Chichén Itzá--and walked back down without resorting to scooting down the steps on my butt.
   
9. Memorized in 30 minutes, and repeated perfectly All The World’s A Stage for my high school thespian troupe hazing initiation.
   
10. Had the story of my tongue piercing published, and then lost my only copy after the ‘zine went under.
    

Shocking. I'm amazed. Really.
