The second to last chapter of Deconstruction posted today and I'm already starting to mourn it. Which is, you know, great timing for everything else going on.

In brighter news, a friend got a COVID test last week and it came back negative. She's isolating for another four or five days and then she and her wife might come over here for an evening of Actual In Person Contact. I'm not getting my hopes up because it's 2020 and anything can happen between now and then but it's a nice thing to casually ponder. I'm uncertain if I'm going to break down sobbing or start making out with them if/when we finally get to hug. Maybe both. 😂

Managed to write a tiny bit this week, on the Deconstruction missing PWP scene. About 500 words total. Here's some of them.

Dry-mouthed, Zhao Yunlan drank in the sight. The bedside lamp highlighted Shen Wei’s perfect skin covering defined muscles, throwing shadows into the hollow of his throat and the slight dip under his collarbones. Even without his new sensitive eyes, Zhao Yunlan would have seen the rapid pulse beating under the soft planes of his abdomen.

“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered.

Propping himself on an elbow, he slowly dragged the tips of his fingers around the swell of Shen Wei’s chest, then over his shoulder and down his arm. The man was ridiculously well-built, with a physique that wasn’t merely the result of dark energy. Zhao Yunlan might be miraculously, unnaturally, stronger now, but the visual confirmation of Shen Wei’s natural power was breathtaking. It was also incredibly hot.
