Two more weekends of faire, and we can wrap KCRF 2013 2012 (apparently it's still 2012) in a bag.

Tomorrow's projected high for Bonner Springs: 54 degrees and cloudy. *sigh* Not as cold as 2009, when it was in the forties. Damn, that was miserable.

I have the fantastic body stocking that [ profile] tama_grey loaned me, but I won't make as much in tips if I'm wearing a body stocking. Also, I'm worried about dollar bills causing snags, etc. Tonight I'm touching up my roots (good god they're nearly an inch long), so will be stuck in my house for six hours. I'll spend some time digging through my old faire stuff to see if I still have any of those foot warmer things to stick in the toes of my boots. Too bad I don't have access out there to a water dispenser that has a hot water reservoir.

At least the cold weather gives me an opportunity to wear my awesome leather cap!

I am still tired tired tired. I'm pretty convinced this is more allergy- than adrenal-related. We're talking serious snoreway here, and it never lets up or cycles through the day like my cortisol-affected fatigue does.

Kiva put in some ear tacks yesterday on adrenal points, so I have four pretty gold studs in each ear for the next several days. Fun!

I'm going to do a WITL for real starting on Sunday.

Here's hoping it keeps staying ABOVE the predicted temps!

I had friends who got staples put in their ears as a weight loss thing; I'm guessing it was something along the lines of an acupuncture point. I'm a bit too tender in those areas to do stuff like that (and frankly, I wash my ears too hard!). I would just as soon do huge salads daily like I've been doing, and up my exercise.

If that's all it took to regulate my health, I'd be ecstatic.

I don't blame you!

I consider myself so very lucky that I don't have the type of health complications that you and my husband do (he's got a bit of fibromyalgia, and is off work due to back troubles right now).

I'm just having a lot of trouble learning how to adjust my diet to my age and a sedentary job. I NEVER had to worry about what I ate until I got a desk job, because I walked/ran/worked it all off, as an assistant manager in a retail store.

I went shopping last weekend; went into Victoria's Secret & got fitted for a new bra. I've never been more than a B cup all my life, and now I'm wearing a 36D. I don't think I like it.

I wouldn't take a Victoria's Secret bra fitting too seriously. I don't think they train their people very well. You might consider getting a fitting by someone (and I would recommend someone over the age of 50) at Nordstrom's or Dillard's or something along those lines. The nice ladies at Weaver's department store here in Lawrence are pretty awesome, too.

Also, Victoria's Secret bras themselves aren't the best quality. I la-la-la love my Wacoal bras. They're expensive but worth it. Five-plus years of regular use and TLC (hand-wash only, drip dry) and they are still in good shape.

Ah; found them! Thanks for the link; I'm having a hard time finding where to buy that isn't exorbitantly priced because of the name.

They didn't do a bad job of measuring, which was half the battle. But I'm much more used to a tight fitting bra, so the 38 back was way too loose. Plus, I'm losing weight, so hopefully this will fit a bit longer; I don't think I'd have been able to wear the 38 for more than a month, and then what do I do with it?

My only complaint on these is that the D underwire is clear under my armpit, as opposed to next to the side of my breast, so it keeps stabbing me if I'm not careful. But the cup itself fits perfectly.
Oddly, the cheaper bras I picked are doing this, but the higher price ones didn't-which goes to show the old saw about getting what you pay for is an old saw for a reason.

From what you're describing, I'm not sure they did do a great job of measuring you. And yes, expensive bras are really the only way to go.

I agree about the VS fittings. I've known too many people who were ill-fitted by the barely trained staff. Clare de Lune in Leawood/OP does a wonderful job fitting and their quality is in line with their (admittedly) higher prices. Where VS is reaching for the mall rats, Clare de Lune is a boutique shop.

I've also had good luck with fittings at Nordstrom's.

Are you out all day tomorrow? I think I'll take my electric/instant teapot to the booth so that I can make hot chocolate. I'll just take a gallon jug of water. Come by and in 60 seconds you can have hot water.

I'm going to come out as late as possible, but I know it's harder to fast. when I'm stuck at home. So I'll probably be out around 1:00 or 2:00. Thank you for the hot water offer!!! That'll be lifesaving. I will even bring my own water from one of the break areas.

2013? Man, I wish. I'm so done with 2012, in general.

Good lord, how'd it take someone this long to pick up on that typo?

I figured it was wishful thinking.

I know you're avoiding caffeine, but I'll note this in case anyone else reading could use it. Between about 12:30-2:45 in the tea hut (the small building between the old washer well wenches stage and the chapel/tea deck area), I'll have free coffee available. Just knock on the door with mug in hand. :)

Ooooh! I'll be sure to pass that around!

Oh, hmm, and you know, if you're closer to the 2:45 mark, I would bet we'll have a ton of hot tea left, too.

I don't drink tea, either. =/ Too much fluoride in tea leaves.

Love the ear tacks. :) But I'm fond of shiny things... like a magpie.

Also, the hat is so charming on you! Too bad you don't get more cold days so you have to wear it more.
