Up and down

Reasons to get down. Reasons to jump around.

I'm on week four of tracking my energy levels. It's been an interesting experiment. I don't know if my increasing energy is actually increasing, or if I'm able to better notice that I have more good days (than I thought?) by recording them, or a combination, or maybe the journaling has forced me to have a better attitude, or or or ...but things have improved.

So that encouraging! I still have low days, but I'm gonna have low days and that's just life. I'm considering decreasing or ceasing my sessions and supplements from Dr. Jonah for a couple months to see how I feel. That would be a lot of money (and time). The few weeks I've taken off from driving to KC every week has, perhaps, helped my energy level increase. The hormonal supplements from Dr. Khosh will remain very much in my daily use, though. I've seen what happens when I go off those and it's not fun.

I leave for Indianapolis tonight to visit the folks for a few days, so I won't be around much until Sunday. Ciao, bellas.

I'm going to use the calorie counter on my stationary bike as my measurement for energy. So far, the numbers are sad sad sad and I'm excited when I manage 10 cal over normal. Woo.

At least...you can get on the bike and pedal?

When I get home from Indy, I think I might break out the TRX again. Wanna see if I'm even close to resuming resistance training.

Yeah. I'm glad I can do that. I bought a reclining stationary bike the last time my energy fell apart. It's turning out to be a decent investment.

Good luck. I hope you can get back to training. I know how much that means to you.

I used to think that cardio machines were worthless, but I've completely changed my stance. I still don't think they do much for weight loss or strength building, but for people with limited mobility, strength, energy, or a combination of the three, I think they can be (literal) lifesavers. I'm so glad to hear you're getting positive results from yours, even if the results aren't quite what you'd like.

Here's to our small victories!

Yep! *Toast* to small victories.

And as a side benefit I've learned about treating venomous snake bites from watching Netflix. (I've been working my way through documentaries on the dangerous animals of Australia while I bike.)

The sales dude at the fitness place where I got it wasn't keen on it. He didn't like reclining models because they are apparently lower impact and I was buying the model with the comfiest seat I could find. I needed something with the lowest barrier to use possible.

Those numbers do look much better! And especially at this Back-To-Darker Days time of year.
