Friday fives
1. Have you ever had a bad experience with a dead body?
Um. No. Do you ever wonder just what the question writer is thinking on some of these?
2. What's the best movie you've ever seen in which dead bodies are integral to the plot?
Shallow Grave. Just one dead body, but it was enough.
3. What would it take to persuade you to spend 24 hours in fully stocked morgue...just you and the corpses?
An assurance that they were all tidily embalmed or otherwise made completely unsmelly. And, I suppose, something to entertain myself.
4. Would you rather be buried, cremated or donated to science?
I'll probably donate myself to science if anyone wants me. Short of that, cremation. No point in putting me in the ground if I'm not allowed to decently rot in peace.
5. Let's say you had the chance to make serious $$$ as a mortician. You would get all the training for free and be immediately placed in a high-paying job. Would you take it?
No, because honestly I'm not a terribly sympathetic person. I wouldn't be able to give the patience and support to grieving families that I should. I dated a guy who is a mortician now and I bet he's really good at it. Super nice, kind, loving guy.
1. Pick a theme song that represents your life:
Gosh, just one? Impossible.
2. Do you talk to yourself?
All the time. What? Doesn't everyone?
3. Describe your relationship with your co-workers:
Depends on the co-worker. Some of them are great. Some of them I'd like to choke.
4. Have you ever done karaoke?
Yes, once, but very quietly and not a solo since I'm very shy of my voice.
5. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I'm a big fan of lust at first sight, but love? Hardly.
1. What is your opinion on karma?
My guiding motto for life is "What comes around goes around." That's what keeps me from killing all the assholes.
2. If anything, do you think attitude makes any difference? If you believe the world and life are good, will good things radiate toward you? If you believe otherwise, will it all be a self fulfilling prophecy?
Attitude certainly can make a difference for the individual. My father is an excellent example of that. But bad things can happen to happy people, too. It's not a constant.
3. How has luck/chance/facts-of-life/God/karma/nature treated you so far?
I've had my ups and downs. More ups than downs, happily.
4. What is your opinion of the concept of destinies?
Bullshit. But I believe in fortunate coincidences. =)
5. Are both bad and good things needed in order to truly live life? Can you have the bad without the good? The good without the bad?
Ya gotta take 'em both, it's just a matter of which you choose to take more of.
Daddy is in Kansas City today for a workshop tomorrow. I get to see him this afternoon for a late lunch. Hooray for wonderful daddies!
Looking forward to a good weekend back out with the whores. Can't wait to be back with the girls.
Finally, a big congratulations to
