Sunday Snippet, et. al.
Guardian/adjacent:
I did, in fact, reference this scene while writing last week's blow job in Deconstruction.
Canon touching.
If you're looking for another watchthread.
Fanart: Da Qing not a fan of the dog. Shen Wei, Ye Zun or Yunlan cosplaying Hei Pao Shi?
Untamed/adjacent:
Yiling Laozu skateboarding cosplayer.
Someone who has a gif of Shen Wei cutting the orange really needs to reblog this post with that at the bottom.
Just this morning realized something about my Sunday Snippet post last week. I mentioned winning the auction for a fic cover and said "I already have an idea to pitch at the artist and while they might not be The Most original I think the result (based on their other stuff) will be Very Pretty)." Thanks to some sloppy editing, not only did I manage to have a duplicate close parenthesis, I made it sound like the ARTIST wasn't original? And now I feel like an asshole because what I meant was MY ideas weren't the most original (but I liked them anyway). I originally had three different ideas and then narrowed it down to just the one and... that happened. So ugh. I really hope the (lovely!) artist didn't see that? /o\
sigh
So, this week's snippet! Some happiness for Shen Wei, finally:
Even if the idea hadn’t suffused him with beautiful, warm longing, Shen Wei couldn’t have denied the hopeful brightness shining in Zhao Yunlan’s eyes. His love poured out, clear and radiant. Shen Wei would go through another ten thousand years of pain and worry and grief if it meant he had even the hope of this waiting for him at the end of it. Now that he knew how love felt, how could he not?

Or if they did that they've also seen your follow-up explanation. *hugs* I really hate that feeling of realizing how off something you said was compared with what you meant.
And the snippet absolutely suffses me with warm beautiful feelings. Aw. β₯

π€ I'm tempted to mention it next time they email me, tbh. So awkward, but I'd rather feel like an idiot than an asshole. π
I'm becoming shockingly fond of writing all this domestic happiness! What is HAPPENING to mmeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
