I want to exist in the world again, interacting with people in familiar ways. Seeing faces, hearing laughter in public spaces. Running an errand for the hell of it without wondering if I'm risking my life the whole time.

I want someone I like to want me back. I want to flirt with the understanding that we're both a sure thing. I want my hands on someone's skin. I want someone's hands on me, their mouth against my mouth.

I want to feel secure in the fact that I can financially provide for myself. I want to know I'm not completely reliant on someone else's generosity.

I want to entertain guests in my new home. I want to cook for them. I want them to feel safe and happy in this place I've made for myself.

I want to do things in this time of solitude that I won't have energy for once I start working. I want to have the energy to do them now.

I don't want to return to normal. I want the new normal that is possible for all of us. I want it. I want more. I want.
