After today's Discord watch-along (last episode 🔪💔😭💀) people were talking about what A Thing Guardian was when it first aired. I mentioned how McKitterick got invited in 2019 to a big SF literary convention thing in Beijing and Guardian showed up in their recap of recent SF highlights in Chinese media. He didn't notice it at the time, but the instant I saw this photo I about jumped off the couch.

I've watched the last two episodes more than I have any of the others, so ... I'm pretty resilient at this point. 😬 Shen Wei's last expressions (right before exploding himself and his last-last teary smile) are still wrenching tho. Ooof.
