🔥 Chu Shuzhi promo shot 🔥

Last week at Costco I picked up a two-pack of sports bras (that fit surprisingly well considering they're sized S/M/L) and I'll be picking up another pack next time I go. Comfortable! Machine washable!

It made me wonder, though, how many other people are still wearing bras. I used to go bra-less all the time when I was in my early 20s but around age... idk, 23? My body decided to Grow Boobs and I went from a maybe B-cup to a DD and I discovered I hated the feel of my breasts lying against my ribs (I also don't like the skin of my underarms touching the area under my armpits which is why I wear tight tops a lot). So I'm curious...

If you regularly wore a bra pre-COVID, are you still wearing one?

I put on a sports bra for my live classes, but other than that once I'm home I go braless.

With F-cup (UK sizes if there's a difference), I couldn't *not* wear a bra. Although I am wearing crappy cheap non-underwired ones that give me a nice mono-boon and absolutely no cleavage. But without one, I would be so uncomfortable.

Wait, was that TMI?!

OH, that knifeplay art is excellent! :D

I hardly ever wear a bra except in summer.

(Not gonna lie I get pretty jealous when people talk about bras as optional rather than necessary for structural support.)

I tend to wear one at home only when my mother shames me into doing it once we have company over. :b I guess mainly because the kind of clothing I wear at home is usually thin and not quite opaque.

So now it's become a habit. Once I'm interacting with someone who isn't part of my household, I wear a bra unless I have on multiple layers.

Thinking back, I remember going braless for many years in my 20s though.

Totally TMI... oh yeah, my nipples totally end up under my elbows and such in bed which: OW! XD

I don't mind having fairly big boobs, but they do start hurting when free-range for any period of time. Wearing anything sufficiently tight (like a robe tied shut) helps, but if I'm planning on moving about much I desperately need the support of a good underwire bra. (I can do sports bras for limited periods, but I haven't found anything that gives the level of support a good underwire does.)

ETA: On the bright side, Sweden doesn't have the "FEMALE PRESENTING NIPPLES ARE A CRIME" mindset that I see from some Americans? Like, yeah, when it's cold you can see my nipples through two layers and a sweater, but that's jut anatomy and not something on me to "hide" or whatever.

Ha! I actually have an on-topic icon for this.

<---That's a pic of me in Florida leaning next to a statue, around 2003, at Megacon or something? I am *definitely* not wearing a bra.

I wouldn't even dream of doing something like that now though. lol.

Yeah, I actually started dressing a lot more conservatively when I started teaching. Because I would run into kids and parents everywhere (and still do). So I started to maintain an "image" in public and it's spilled over into how I dress whenever I leave the house, regardless.

Funny enough, I sometimes find wearing a bra to be *more* comfortable than going without. The seamless ones are quite nice, and having that extra layer that protects against chafing when I'm wearing various fabrics that aren't as soft and comfy as my "indoors" clothing.

I'm with the 'they are too effing big (and this is *after* reduction surgery) to go without some kind of containment, but I marked the second option because the containment can be sufficiently supportive clothing, especially if I'm not leaving the house.

I say all the time, wife says hell no. This is 100% down to size and general perkiness, I think. It's a comfort thing, certainly not down to giving a damn what anyone else thinks.

As part of the braless minority I feel like I should say I'm an A-cup, so I don't know why I ever bothered. (Also, opposite of you, I don't like having tight fabric between my underarm and my body.) Really I'm so much happier now, lol. Thanks, COVID? I guess?
