Looks like we gun kink types are gonna get some service with this show (but I wish directors would tell their actors not to close one eye like that). Nothing to complain about here, though. Have I mentioned lately how much I miss partner dancing (eta: oh no he has noodle dancing arms 😫👎)? Do we have a name for this ship yet?
I am getting increasingly anxious about The Job, which I hate on so many levels. I don't like wanting something this much. I don't like second-guessing all the things I maybe should have done different. I don't like waiting for what I fear is going to be bad news. I don't like it.
Something else I don't like is that job in American Studies that my friend mentioned at the show a couple weeks ago? It finally posted and the contact person is a professor in the English program (AMS has a lot of shared professors) that I don't care for at all. He's one of those people that's really friendly and charming but doesn't follow through on stuff and lets people down all the time. He doesn't respect students, he doesn't respect staff. I'm not even sure he respects other faculty. He's literally the only professor in nineteen years who would not respond to my emails (I was not alone in that--I got student complaints about him all the time). If he's the supervisor for this position, I uh... I don't even want to apply. *cries*
In happier news, I wrote almost 4k words of Redemption during the first week of June. 🍾🎉🥂

Yeah, it sucksssss. Like, even if he wasn't my supervisor, I'd be dealing with him even more than I did in English and ughhhh. I mean I'd take it if neither of the engineering gigs pan out but...
But not to end on a bummer, yes yay words! I might even wrap up Chapter 7 today. And I just wrote a bit of domestic bliss that made me laugh!

Argh re. the Am Studies job. Upside: profs in charge will turn over. Even if he's your supervisor, he'll be your supervisor for like 3 years, then rotate off.
