Sellout Saturday
From the Sellout email:
This Saturday, January 22, Sellout takes the stage at Liberty Hall. There will 3 bands but sellout will be the main act playing most of the night.
It's a benefit show for the Strategic Learning Center. They are an organization that offers free and/or discounted tutoring services for those in need. We were involved with this event last year and it was good but this year will most certainly be better in every way. More bands, More options for great food and the event will go till 1:40am
They are offering a dinner brought in by Marisco's, JB Stouts, Applebees, Paizano's and Johnny's Pizza. Doors open for Dinner ticket holders at 6pm. Price for All three bands plus Dinner is $20.
Doors open at 7:30 for the bands. The cost for admission at 7:30 will be $7.
Tentative band schedule:
7:30-8:30 The Pickups
9:15-12 Sellout
12:20-1:30 Strange as Angels
Here's a little tip 4 you from your friends in sellout. Come for the dinner and avoid the first row of tables on the dance floor as those will be removed after dinner for dancing. That way you'll have a seat with a table on the first floor all night.
It's been nearly 2 months since sellout has played in Lawrence so I hope to see you there. I almost forgot. Sunnye is returning for this one and our new sax player, Danny, will be there with our percussionist, Mike. Keep your fingers crossed for a guest

Note: I will not be going to the dinner. I anticipate getting to the show around 9:00. Also note, at this benefit last year, there were some kids in the audience (and on stage). Just something to mention. The kids last year were a hoot, though...
