Second, thanks to everyone who came out for bellydancing last night. Good god, there were a lot of you. Lessee,skyflame, _mac_, stuology, solan_t, adammaker, birthday girl kijjohnson, mckitterick, jenocp, and radcliffe, plus all the LJ-less grad students who showed up. I wore the blue striped costume that I haven't fit into for a couple years. That was cool. UPDATE: here is a picture that one of the drummers just sent me, taken last night.
Third, fromsolan_t (who looked simply amazing in her corset last night and showed no signs of suffocating):

Choose one and explain
1. Which is worse, the Burning Question ~OR~ the Painful Truth?
The Burning Question is, by far, worse. At least if I know the Painful Truth I can get on with my life.
2. "Live hard, die young and leave a beautiful corpse" ~OR~ "Live long and prosper"?
I'll take Live Long and Prosper, thanks. Who the fuck cares about a beautiful corpse? I'd much rather die old, happy, and content knowing I did everything I wanted to do.
3. Let bygones be bygones ~OR~ Bitch, I'll cut you!?
With rare exceptions, I'm not one to carry a grudge. There's no point in living in the past. Even for people who have seriously hurt me, I merely wish no contact with them. I don't wish them ill.
4. Private hell ~OR~ Sharing is caring?
Generally, I'll opt for Private Hell. I don't like to burden other people with problems.
5. Open hearted ~OR~ Walls around your heart?
I'm quite open-hearted unless I'm feeling emotionally threatened. Then I can shut down pretty effectively. See question 4.

In order: salesperson in lingerie department, lab assistant at KU computer center, sales and support for CompUSA, tech support at Hill's Pet Nutrition, back to lab assistant at KU computer center, manager of computer lab, receptionist at design firm, and finally graduate secretary at KU.
2. Biggest raise, by percent:
I got a decent pay increase when I went from retail sales to corporate sales support at CompUSA. Don't remember how much, though.
3. Have you ever quit?
Well, duh. If it means quit on bad terms, yes, I've done that, too.
4. Have you ever been fired?
No, but I've been laid off.
5. Worst mistake, while on the job:
I have no idea. I've made plenty, but nothing terribly earth-shattering.

As for the corset, well, if YOUR meme had me suffocating by corset as Renfestlady's did I would feel safest swearing off corsets. Which would be sad, since that dress really looks dumpy without a corset underneath it. :p Once I relented and loosened it a bit, suffocation wasn't really an issue. LOL But while I was being stubborn.... :O
