Birthday and New Year wishes

Happy New Year!

January is (barely) my birthday month so I'm gonna put on my almost-53-year-old big girl panties and *shudder* ask for some things.

I've made a bit of money from tarot readings and rituals (thank you SO MUCH to the people who've trusted me with these) and part of me is like "You made $100 last month! You can buy your own damn stuff! Stop being such a leech!" But then my Voice of Reason steps in (thank dogs) to remind me that money needs to go toward things like groceries and keeping the electricity on.

So if anyone has the resources, I wouldn't hate receiving any of these for my birthday.

Tarot for Change, by Jessica Dore

A year's subscription ($50) to Jessica's weekly essays on Tarot.

Lighting Up the Stars DVD/Blu-ray not purchased from Amazon or Walmart (sorry, believe me my principles are annoying even to me)

Lucky star origami paper strips in 1/2" or 1cm width. My aging hands better handle the half-inch ones but 1cm is doable. I'm not picky about colors but a variety would be nice. (no Amazon, Walmart, or Hobby Lobby pls)

I hope y'all find something comforting, energizing, satisfying, or all three today to take with you into the new year. I'm making blackeyed peas, something I haven't done in well over a decade, and I wish so much I could give everyone here a bowl.

A functioning Voice of Reason is a crucial thing, even though it's rarely fun. *sighs*

I hope so hard that wonderful things happen for you this year!

Happy almost-birthday! Find me a specific instance of origami strips you'd like and I should be able to do something about that.

Done and done! I kind of ordered what I saw without checking the amounts--Etsy confuses me, not least because it shows up in Japanese--so if they run out, poke me for some glittery ones or something.
