Not like I'm lacking for motivation to find an income but this sports bra made by frith_in_thorns has rocketed to the top of the list (just under rent, bills, and groceries).
It's been two weeks since the person who was (I thought) interested in hiring me to do developmental editing asked for my availability to chat so I'm writing that off as a Probably Not Happening Thing. Thanks to some stellar encouragement and advice from a friend, I'm looking seriously at diving into the tarot and ritual stuff as a primary income source. I was thinking about looking at personal/executive assistant stuff that I could do remotely but she was like How About A Hard Pivot? 😅
Even though I haven't been reading cards for very long, I think I'm pretty good at it? Good at the way I read, anyway. Someone I read with recently called my style "therapy-informed" which I thought was fascinating (especially considering I have no experience with actually helpful therapy) and a nice buzzword that sets me apart from other styles of tarot reading. Paired with my secular approach to ritual and spellwork I think they make a nice combo.
Considering how many of my recent tarot card pulls have reflected change/transformation/middle path energy I feel like this isn't the worst idea. I never wanted to do something I love for money, but perhaps it's (past) time to revisit that mentality. Gotta root around in my psyche a bit to figure out why I have such an aversion to that so I can avoid falling into any emotional or psychological resistance to it. I do not have the energy to recover from self-sabotage so I want to head that shit off before it even starts.
