The Chernobyl Red acts as Andy Rooney post

I haven't had one of these Random Tidbits Posts in a while. Guess I was due.

For [livejournal.com profile] femfataleatron: [livejournal.com profile] jaylake posted this artist's site on his LJ. It's not really similar to what you're doing, but I thought you'd be intrigued.

In her 20, [livejournal.com profile] rougewench talks about how she cries easily, and she cries when she's really angry. I do the same thing. I hate it. Argh. Not from embarassment, but just frustration. I hate tearing up because it makes my nose run. Immediately. Then my sinuses swell. All from a teeny bit of emotion (happy or sad). So I've spent most of my adult life fighting this. It's not that I'm ashamed of it, but with sinuses like mine, the last thing I want is swellage. I do actively dislike the fact that I cry when I'm really angry. It gives the wrong impression. No, I'm not being weak, you moron, I'm about to rip off your fucking head!!!! It happens very rarely, though. I think I've been this angry maybe five times in my life. And yeah, my mom's the same way. Scorpio!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] solan_t, I'm actually considering making another bodice. Shoot me.

Although I am pleased not to wear the Yak tomorrow, I can't say I'm thrilled about why. Rain wig is a nice change, but the actual rain not so much no.

I'm up three pounds to 145. Whoa! I think it's all the salt I've been eating lately, though, so that's not good. Gotta find a healthier way to keep the weight on. I'm drinking as much water as I can today so I'm not so bloated tomorrow.

This isn't news, but I was reminded last night of what a total slut my cat is. Criminey. I had the girls from the bellydance troupe over last night to work on embellishment and costume advice. Fetish was all over people, rolling around on the floor, sitting on laps, etc. I love that I have such a friendly cat. And seriously, she'll snuggle with anyone. If the brothel ever wants an animal mascot...

Why oh why can't we have today's weather tomorrow?

My new nose sparklies shipped yesterday, so I should have them early next week. Can't wait can't wait!

It pleases me to no end to see people I like responding to my 20 Facts with "wow we have so much in common!" That rocks.

I have so much to do in the next few weeks it's almost worrisome. Eeeek. Wish me luck. I think I'll be taking a vacation day next week.

Oh, and I forgot something. I just want to say that I do respect people who give to Red Cross and other charities. Myself, I only give money to people I know personally. I have so many friends who are financially hard up and when I can, I choose to give them any extra cash I can spare. The money is often given as a loan but honestly, I rarely expect to be repaid. I strongly believe in the concept "charity begins at home." If I decide to give money to help the victims of Katrina, it will be with my tourist dollars. This might be considered selfish, but there you go. If I'm giving away money, I'd rather give money to my friends that I know and love.

An ancient (but the most recent) [livejournal.com profile] flydayfyve that I missed somehow:
1. What song reminds you of Friday? I don't think there is one.
2. What song reminds you of a Saturday night? BR5-49's One Long Saturday Night.
3. Do you ever make mix cds for weekend trips? Used to, but I don't have the ability to make mix tapes anymore and my computer doesn't burn CDs.
4. What type of music do you like to drive to? The soundtrack to Heavy Metal is some of the best driving music out there, IMO.
5. What's your favorite song to drive to? I don't really have a single favorite song for anything.

Interesting. I don't know who this is, but that's really similar to what my character looked like when I played the Star Wars RPG with [livejournal.com profile] rorschachsix and others.

Exactly!

Also I hate crying because it makes my eyes swell shut.

Perhaps we should consider "relacing The Spanish's bodice" a regular lane activity. Seems to have been a big hit. *cocks eyebrow*

Well, now... I now have a reason to brave Bonner Springs and the RenFest this year.

And by "brave," I suppose I mean "stalk the whores like a starving dog." Something like that.

When I get angry, I tend to become silent and withdrawn. It's mostly because I wage a war in my head to avoid saying the most vicious things you could possibly imagine. When I let that voice out, it destroys relationships. Not a good thing.

I don't really weep. The closest I've gotten in the last few years is a vague hitching in the chest. I do, however, mist up when I experience something sentimental.

Oh, and by the by...you play RPGs? Squee! So cool. I imagine you'd rock at 'em. *sigh* Once again, I wish all my LJ friends lived down the block, instead of frickin' Kansas, Japan, and Denver.

Oh, and by the by...you play RPGs?
Yup. Even played in a LARP a long time ago.

When I get angry(...)
When I get angry, I finally become concise, and very, very clear in my spoken language. I suspect some ex-GFs used it as a strategy to combat my wandering verbosity.

Boo ya.

Y'know, I'm thinking that with the way the good ol' US of A is going, we might become neighbors one day. Almost typed a smiley there, but it's not funny. Hrm.
