Movie meme
A meme from
copperwise while I wait on a call back from the registrar...it annoys me greatly that a large part of my job is waiting on phone calls from people who will (I hope) explain why I can't access particular bits of information necessary to me doing my job.
1. You only get to watch one movie for the rest of your life. Which one do you pick? This is a toss-up between Siverado and Big Trouble in Little China.
2. You get to completely destroy and remove one movie from existence. Which one do you pick? I'm sure there's someone out there who loves every single movie I hate (and vice versa), so I guess I'll leave them alone.
3. Which movie that doesn't get nearly enough play would you recommend to everybody? American Dreamer. It finally came out on DVD recently. Check it out. It's one of the best--no, *the* best--early 80s romantic comedy.
4. Which as-yet-unreleased movie this year would you kill someone to see early? Not a single one. I mean, come on, kill someone?
5. Which movie is the funniest movie you've ever seen? Either The In-Laws (the first one with Alan Arkin and Peter Falk) or Psycho Beach Party.
6. Which movie has made you cry the hardest? In recent memory, Lilo and Stitch--sad cry. Or Rudy--overstimulated emotion cry.
7. What's the best ending sequence to a movie that you've ever seen? The end of Shallow Grave is absolutely perfect.
8. What's the best opening sequence to a movie that you've ever seen? The Matrix has the best opening credits/sequence that I can think of at the moment.
9. Who's your favorite movie character, and why? Can't say I have one single favorite, although I dearly love Marion in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Damn you, Stephen Spielberg for wimping out on your female supporting roles in the other movies.
10. Which movie character do you think has had the best entrance ever in a movie? There are a few excellent entrances that I can think of: Kevin Kline's Paden in Silverado, Darth Vader's first appearance in Star Wars, Tony Curtis's Leslie in The Great Race--that tooth sparkle cracks me up every time.
11. Which movie character do you think has had the best exit ever in a movie? Han Solo's "I know" line in Empire Strikes Back.
12. Which supposedly good movie do you loathe? Apocolypse Now. Snore.
13. Which supposedly crappy movie do you love? Dirty Dancing. Stupidly sappy fun.
14. You get to kill one actor/actress and get away with it. Which one do you get rid of? There's nobody I dislike *that* much.
15. Which supposedly bad actor do you actually like? Kurt Russell.
16. Which supposedly good actor do you wish would just go away? Mel Gibson.
