Holy cow. Where did it go?

That was just crazy. Like, zoom, dude. So, this is my last LJ post of 2005 and I really don't have anything significant to say, except I've had a difficult couple of years now, overall. Can we try for something a little easier for a change? You know, simple, peaceful. No drama. Less moving.

I need to either get rid of significant portion of my pattern collection (at least a third, if not half) or...purchase a new four-drawer vertical file. I can't really afford the cash for one, but I'm sick of my patterns lying around unorganized. I've got a shit load of patterns, folks. I'm afraid I'm going to start buying ones I already have if I don't get them filed. *drums fingers* Hm.

I need to go to the grocery store tonight because I forgot to get the celery for black-eyed peas on Sunday. Mmmm. Yum. Oh, and butter. I need butter.

I also need to go to Hancock's to, you know, pick up a couple patterns on sale.

1. How will you be ringing in the New Year? I'm not sure yet.
2. How do you wish you were ringing in the New Year? I'm not sure yet.
3. Do you have any traditions that you observe on New Year's Day intended to bring you luck for the upcoming year? I'll be making black-eyed peas, of course. And missing some those that used to eat them with me.
4. Do you make resolutions? Do you keep them? No. And that's why.
5. Would you ever have plastic surgery? Yes. I'd love to get my varicose veins zapped, and I wouldn't mind having my pit hair permanently removed.

1. Did you do anything new this past year that you had thought you would never do? If yes, what was it? I did, and it didn't turn out so stellar.
2. Did you introduce someone to something new this past year that they had thought they would never do? If yes, what was it? Yeah. See above.
3. What new things do you want to do in the new year? New? Hmmm. New. I'd like some new clothes, I think.
4. What new things would you like to introduce others (friends, family, etc.) to in the new year? I'm trying to get my mom hooked on Firefly, now.
5. So, nu? This is obviously a reference to something I'm not getting...

Fairy tale party?

I'm not sure about the KC thing, but fairy tales always pique my interest.

it is the fabled Charlesworth NYE party.

The theme is Grimm's Grimmest.

Happy New Year, lady. Hope next year's good to you.

[identity profile] alt-rorschach.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Come for a visit and we can get zapped together. I live in the body makeover capital so we can probably get a 2-4-1. Eat some soup for me and I'll drink some wine for you. I hope your new year is wonderful and includes a visit with yours truely.

I love that faerie tale!

I've wanted KCRF to use the 12 Dancing Princesses as a scenario for years. It just seems to make sense considering how many women/girls they have who want to dress up like princesses. I bet you guys looked fabulous!

I know just how you feel about the patterns thing. I finally gave in and organised all of mine after I came home three different times with duplicates in one month. (I went shopping at Hancock's a lot last July - there were good sales. :)) I also created a list I can update to take shopping with me. It helps a lot when I'm "just browsing". My next step is to actually use more of them. :D
