Poker Table

For those of you who have the joy of seeing us day in and day out, you will have heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth that accompanied D's creation of The Poker Table.

Behold the results.

No, we are not taking orders at this time.

I forgot to ask, actually! Ooops. The green stuff is "speed felt" for poker tables. Very slick. Almost like an indoor/outdoor fabric. Pretty cool stuff.

Very nice. What colour of paint/stain is on the wooden pieces?

Ummmm. A red one? I have no idea. D, if you're reading LJ today, could you answer this?

stain color

The color really doesn't show well in the pictures I took, due to the bright sun pouring through our dining room doors.

The stain I used was a Red Mahogany, and was actually a stain/finish mix. With just stain, the poplar wood I used for the border wouldn't stain evenly, even with pre-stain wood treatment.

The reddish brown caught my eye, and I've been looking to refinish a wood frame for a mirror but unable to find the colour I want. The photos seem to indicate that you have, hence my question.

Thanks, I'll go hunting.

Well let me see if we have any left. If you're only do a picture frame, you can probably use what's left at the bottom of our can.
