Damage, health, update, damaged health update

Yesterday afternoon the Very Cute And Quite Young insurance appraiser came out to look at the Mustang. He pointed out a lot of damage that I hadn't even known about. Every single body panel has a ding. The chrome around the windshield is damaged. The top has a one-inch tear. Ooof. He's going to call me with the total, but he estimated at least $3,000. Probably more with the top replacement, which will be about $1,000 all by itself (parts and labor). Helllooooo zero deductible and no raise in rates for comprehensive claims. I really like my classic car insurance company.

Got [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy sent off with her bodice, skirt, bloomers, and second chemise. Almost completely done with her ensemble. Only one pair of bloomers left to go. Then I have the two scaled-down RenFest bellydance costumes for the girls in the summer show. And my own costume and choreography, of course.

The CT scan this morning went fine. Barium isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be (for me, at least). It wasn't nearly as thick as I feared, and tasted bannana-ish. The time in the waiting room was the worst. Daytime TV is awful. They took two scans, one with dye and one without. That dye is funky. It made me feel really odd in my throat and crotch. Yeah. No comments from the peanut gallery. The assistant referred to it as a "heat flash" but it was more like a...well, you know when you turn your head funny or too quick and you get that rush of heat through the muscle but the skin stays cool? That's what it was like. Very odd. The dye is thick and is hard on your kidneys if you don't drink enough liquids. And the barium can cause constipation. So lots of water and fiber for me today. How thrilling! I love visiting the 3rd floor women's restroom in Wescoe. My favorite! The radiologist said not to expect any word on the results before Tuesday. So. Wait.

Tonight I'm going to go see Sellout because and only because my friend Flessing is going to be Guest Singing a song with them! I can't wait! Mr. and Mrs. Rorschach, I'll give you all the details afterwards. This is the first time I've seen Sellout in well over a year. I miss Sunnye and Bri. I hope what's-her-name doesn't show her ass too godawful often. Why hasn't anyone told her that schtick does not work for her? Doesn't she have friends? My dears, if you ever see me trying too hard to be sexy and showing off something other than my most advantageous assests, please please please tell me I look like a fool. Please. That's what friends do. I know I can usually rely on [livejournal.com profile] roya_spirit for that sort of thing, but in case she's not around, the rest of ya'll have a duty, too. OK?

Anyway. So. Sellout. Jazzhaus. Tonight. I'll probably get there around 9:30. Show will probably start around 10? ish? Thereabouts.

I must have missed the Sellout email. That's certainly something on the "possible" list for tonight.

I can come and shake it at around 11pm.

Huh? Ryan is singing? That Flessing? How can I not go to that?

Yup. That was sorta my reaction, too. =D

Holy crap! Say hi for me. I wonder who he's going to go as? I guess he got over his Everquest addiction.

Hugs and sympathy from a fellow hospital habitue. I wonder which is worse--the dents in the lovely car, or the barium up the wazoo? Sigh. Something really nice and good MUST surely be coming your way soon.
