Thrill a minute
Sellout was...ok. It certainly isn't as good as it used to be. Huge turnover in band members has not been kind to them. They don't have the energy (or visual appeal) that they used to, but it was still a good time. Flessing was fantastic as Chuck Norris singing "Whole Lotta Love." I had no idea he could wail like that. Wow! He was in the third set, though, and by that time I was really ready to go home. Skipped out of there way fast and probably didn't say bye to everyone I should have.
Saturday was a day of much productivity. Finished two vests and a belt and cut and sewed (but didn't hem) one circle skirt. Made cookies. Took (most of) them to a friend. Lounged about.
Sunday I went to a cooking class that was incredibly fun (I learned to make chapatis!) and then dance rehearsal for the Devadasi performance on Saturday. YIKES.
I finally made a commitment with my friend Jemira for some private bellydance lessons, specifically focusing on circular veil. I'm hoping to use that for my solo in the summer show. We'll see! Jo already has a huge veil group number and I think another standard veil piece in the show would be superfluous and boring. And the music really cries out for veil, so I'm hoping I can figure out this circular thing in...two months? *cough*
In fifteen minutes: haircut. I should get going.

No, Galdriel isn't doing my hair anymore, alas. She was so hard to get ahold of and she never returned my last attempt to schedule an appointment. I've been going to this little chick who cuts hair up at the KU Union. She's really sweet and does a good job. Granted, I have a pretty easy haircut. And I certainly don't mind paying *half* of what I used to. Not to mention getting to avoid leaving campus in the middle of the day.

The one with all the nifty blonde fairy-tale princess hair? I wonder every time I walk past if it's real or extensions. :)

Well, that and I didn't want to deal with the drunken idiot drivers on Cinco de Mayo.
