Hot chick

Chess Match rehearsal was absolutely roasting.

I fear for my health and safety if these temperatures continue through September what with me under The Yak and all.

I'm researching alternatives. And making linen bloomers.

Yes. But I wasn't wearing something that keeps 40% of my body heat from escaping off the top of my head. I was bareheaded in cut-offs and a baby tee. =b

You'll be wearing yak? What about no bloomers as an alternative?

I swear, I think you are the busiest person I know. I think I will never get to hang out with you again!

Also try to remember the upside of wig wearing...it works exactly like a hat to keep the direct sun off of your head.

I have literally always done better in a wig than I ever did with hair with garlands or hair with hats.

But I agree with [livejournal.com profile] gmskarka, we may see something like this heat in the first week, maybe 2 of faire, but after that it will be all downhill. Linen bloomers, however, will probably be a damn fine idea.

Oh heck, no. Bloomers are a MUST for me. There's one whore who doesn't wear bloomers and everytime I think about it too much I can only think one thing: chafing. Ugh.

I think you are the busiest person I know. I think I will never get to hang out with you again!

All my friends feel that way about me, especially this time of year. Seriously.

Oh, and "The Yak" is how I affectionately refer to my monstrous wig. =D

I thought that's what the bumbershoot was for! =D

[identity profile] bestill.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I knew that and forgot . . .

[identity profile] bestill.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so when can you squeeze me into your calendar? I'm happy to make an appointment. Although if the plans are still on, we'll be spending some "quality" time together Aug. 30th.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll email ya!

D. All of the above.

How about some good news? According to the Farmer's Almanac, it will be cooler the 24-27 this month, and then in Sept:

1st-3rd. Pleasant.
4th-7th. Thunderstorms.
8th-11th. Clear.
12th-15th. Fair.
16th-19th. Violent squalls.
20th-23rd. Rain, followed by clearing and cooler.
24th-27th. Changeable, with sun, clouds, and passing showers.
28th-30th. Fair and pleasant.

Violent Squalls

Is that weather? or domestic?

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
haha, sounds like the name of a female rock band.

I think Violent Squalls describes COlumbus Day/Children's Day at the Faire.

I know the feeling. I'm horrified. Will manage, somehow.

And you in all that black...my condolences.

I like to think of it as my Autumn Weight-Loss Plan ... ;-)
