It all evens out.
Leaving yesterday at 1:00 was such the best idea. I finished
nottygypsy's hem on her new petticoat, made a second skirt for me, and got as far as I could on J's bra without having her over to measure for strap lengths. Notty, I regret to inform you that I simply couldn't do a decorative hem on your petticoat. That sucker has a fourteen yard bottom hem. It takes me thirty minutes and a full spool of thread to do a decorative stitch at the bottom of my own skirts, which have a four yard hem. Do the math. No way. Sorry, baby. But if you like the length (I made it longer than your skirt so it'll peep out underneath), I can add some lace to the bottom. I have something like 80 yards of the cheap black lace.
Today, I am all alone in the office. My office mate is gone, so I get to listen to my music (yay!). But since she opens the office I had to be here at 7:30 (boo!). However, since I'm not sure I'll get to take a lunch today (boo!) that gives me one and a half hours of comp time--half of what I took yesterday when I went home (yay!).
I feel so much better at having wrapped up a couple projects yesterday. I feel like I might actually get J's bra and another commissioned garment done on time as promised. And that's a good thing since I'm flat broke at the mo'.
Being flat broke on payday? Suxxor. But it's Friday. Woot!
