Purge

I'm going through my pattern collection (again) and getting rid of some more stuff, all modern patterns, most around size 12/14. If you're interested, email me for a viewing. I'd ask for a donation of a buck a pattern, if you don't mind. Nearly all of them are unusued. I also might be convinced to get rid of some of my bead collection, if you make a decent offer--I'm happy to take money or trade for craft supplies that I might actually use.

Shout-outs to a particular few folks: [livejournal.com profile] shrijani, I have some scrap silver for you to look at to see if you can use it for melting down, etc. Remind me to show you that on Monday. [livejournal.com profile] tattooedartgirl, I'll be mailing off your box of fabric and yarn next week. [livejournal.com profile] bestill, I would like to talk with you sometime about designing a hat pattern for this yarn I've got mouldering in my stash.

This winter I hope to use up some of the wools I've been hoarding. I want to make some sassy little sleeveless jumper dresses that I can wear either with a turtleneck underneath, or dressed up a bit with a jacket instead. If I line them, I can wear them with or without a top underneath and not be plagued by woolen scratchiness. Hurray for a new winter wardrobe! Hurray for sewing that does not involve RenFest garb! Hurray for whittling down my fabric stash, little by little!

Why not have an open view, and I'll bring some things I might like to unload also?

If I get any interest, I will certainly do that.

Hoarding is what one does with wools, in my experience. I'm always picking them up and not knowing what to make/being too intimidated to cut them. I've also got a fair pile of cottons destined to be tribal pantaloons that I need to work through - for the past 2 years "belly dance pants" was my default setting whenever I found fabric I wanted to play with.

Yea!!!!! Patterns!!!!!

I can gather the list of pattern numbers, but I'm afraid a lot of these are out of print...

Yes! And you usually only need three yards at the most for pantaloons!
