Quiet, at high volume
My goodness, it's going to be a quiet week here. I don't think I've ever been the only secretary in the office for more than two days in a row. This should be interesting. I get to listen to my music turned up to any volume I want. What a treat! Spinning right now, Bhangra Fever, in an attempt to make it feel a wee bit warmer in here. I don't know what they've set the thermostats down to, but it's pretty chilly.
My Christmas gift to myself this year was another stomach pain episode late Christmas Eve afternoon. It ensured that I ate very little the rest of the day, and then practically nothing on Christmas Day. As a result, I'm down a pound to 153. Happy Holidays!
But even a sensitive stomach cannot deny me the joy found in a pint of Guinness at a bar downtown on Christmas evening. It was fun and comforting to look around at the other locals and share a silent understanding that no, we didn't travel "home" for the holidays. Our home is here and that's the way we like it. We choose to stay home with our chosen tribe of Larryville locals, not pressured or guilted into an uncomfortable holiday with forced family.
And that's way too much alliteration for one morning, purposeful or not.

I won't be at the Charlesworth Party, sad to say. I've had too much physical crap going on and I need to rally my energy for my trip to San Diego next week. I'll be staying in town. Sux, but I've got five days in California with friends I only see once a year. Gotta be at 100% for that.
