We're not alone
Hey! It appears that the U.S. does not (contrary to popular opinion) have the market cornered on moronic fits of censorship: CANBERRA, Jan 22 (Reuters Life!) - An airline passenger barred from a flight for wearing a T-shirt labeling President Bush a terrorist has threatened legal action against Australia's flag carrier Qantas.
A food moment: the best grapefruits around here are bought in December and January. Maybe February if it's a good season. I ate a pink grapefruit yesterday that was so good it was a blissful experience. I meant to eat half and save the rest for breakfast today, but I couldn't do it. I ate the whole thing. It was absolutely delicious. Small joys.
Last night just before leaving for yoga, I had another stomach pain episode. I still went to yoga and it might have helped a little. At least it took my mind off it. It was still a very uncomfortable three hours. So of course today I'm on the "I'm afraid to eat" diet, even though there is no proof whatsoever that the pain is food-related. Yesterday I ate: A ham sammich with mustard and lettuce, some raw vegetables and a spicy peanut dip, and the grapefruit. Maybe it was the peanut dip. I dunno. It's weird. And upsetting. And painful. Yoga seemed to help while I was actually doing it, but on the drive home I started to hurt again. Not as bad as earlier, but it still hurt. It finally let up around 10:00 p.m. and I got to sleep.
Has anyone here heard of Zumba? The website for it is beyond annoying. I won't even link to it. Ugh. But I'm curious if anyone has taken classes. Lawrence Athletic Center is offering fairly inexpensive classes for non-LAC members and I'm thinking about trying it out. I won't go to an aerobics class, but if it's geared like a dance class, I'll try it.
