I enjoy being a girl

I'm just not enjoying it right now. Two nights in a row, awakened from a sound sleep by really bad menstrual cramps? Not fun. Ugh. Period bloat, mood swings, cramps, and lack of sleep. Fun times!

This weekend was a weekend of Great Getting-Done-Ness. It was fab. secret_malady and scary_manilow dropped by for a lovely visit on Saturday and I foisted off some of my excess belongings on them. I got three shirts sewn in the afternoon and headed to Jackpot in celebration. Spent a lovely couple hours there watching questionable television and sipping very fine beverages with grand company.

Sunday I got even more sewing done: A kimono-style jacket (gift for a friend), a pair of pants, and a skirt for me. The skirt came out fab, but the pants were too small in the ass, and too big in waist. Off to Wild Man Vintage they go.

Speaking of, I have some of my hand-made clothing for sale downtown at Wild Man Vintage--clothes I'm tired of wearing, or muslins that just didn't work out (like these pants). They're priced cheaper than I would sell if the clothing was new or custom-ordered. Don't worry, _luaineach, you're still on the list for things I think will fit you. These pants, though, no way. I'm going to try making them again, with a little more hip room and nipped at the waist. It's a cute pattern and will be great for summer if I can modify to my shape.
