I never thought I'd make it!
Has this been the longest week evar. Whoa. *wipes forehead*
After an exhausting day (physical and job-related stresses packed my afternoon full of discomfort, anxiety, and woe) I went home to knit and sent![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mckitterick out to enjoy the evening with his drinking buddies. I finished four loads of laundry and the knitted vest. Then I went to bed. Quelle romantique.
I'm so much looking forward to this weekend that I get kind of wiggly just thinking about all the fabulousness. Tomorrow I start the weekend with morning yoga, then I'm meetingauroraceleste and solan_t for lunch and shoppies. I'm getting the ribbon I need to reinforce the buttonholes on the vest, and perhaps a couple Steampunk-able patterns (Simplicity patterns are 5 for $5 this weekend at Hancock's, y'all). Then, at 5:00 p.m. I'm getting a haircut. In the evening, I'm going out on the town. Since the weather is forecast to be nice, I would love to cut and glue down the laminate on the cutting table, but I'm not sure it's possible to squeeze that in. I'm not sure what all's on the agenda for Sunday (besides some serious sleeping-in), but there's a strong possibility of bellydance vid watching with roya_spirit. Wooo! Doesn't that all sound wonderful?
There was a rather nasty moment this morning when I was digging through my yarn stash for the second skein of yarn that I'm using for the legwarmers. I couldn't find it. Dig dig dig. Not there. Dig. No. No? No!!! It finally revealed itself, way at the bottom of the bin. I would have been very sad if I spent so much time on these, to discover I only have enough yarn for one legwarmer.
I'm super into knitting at the moment (in case you haven't caught on). I'll be honest and admit that it's largely due to the fact that I can't sew right now. While I doubt that knitting will ever take the place of sewing a garment, I must say I appreciate being forced to take it up more seriously. And I especially appreciatebestill for her amazing support, patience, and guidance. And her yarn. I think I need to get a photo of me knitting to make into a user icon.

steamfashion. I'm placing an order next week. I want the logo patch and maybe a teeshirt.
