Heavy
A killer headache woke me at 2:30-ish this morning. It's a nasty headache that wakes me from a sound sleep. I'm a pretty deep sleeper. I stumbled to the bathroom, took some ibuprofen, and (thankfully) fell back asleep. I still have headache remnants lingering in the back of my skull, but they're not debilitating. Was it last night's wine? I hope not.
I feel unbalanced and fragile. My heart feels heavy in my body--a fascinating phenomenon, really. One's heart as a physical organ has absolutely nothing to do with emotions and feelings, but it seems to carry the burden. How very odd.
It appears that last year's Float With Whores in the KC St. Patrick's Day parade was a one-off. Of course they wouldn't mind if we participated this year, but the theme for KCRF 2008 is All Fairies All The Time and I don't feel like flitting down the parade route. It's a sad thing that my beautiful made-for-last-year's St. Pat's bodice and skirt will never get worn. Perhaps someday
nottygypsy will be able to buy them--although I think I might be too long-waisted for the bodice to work for her.
Tonight I should go hippy-dippy dancing. I don't feel like it, but forcing my body to move is a good thing. Probably. I'd much rather go out and get drunk, but public inebriation when I'm in this frame of mind is not the best idea.

Meanwhile, what exactly is hippy dippy dancing?

If the whores aren't especially invited to participate (as they were last year, to ride on a float and be, well, whores), I'm not inclined to take 8 hours of vacation to get all whored up, drive to KC, fight for parking, and then walk the whole parade route. Nah.

Hippy Dippy Dancing: Technically called "Shiva Dance," it's at the ECM building near campus. A (amateur) DJ plays various Indian Lounge/Electronica music and a bunch of people of various ages and body types dance around in a sort of Grateful Dead individual dance thing. It sounds really cheezy, but it's a lot of fun when you're in the mood for it.
Last night, I wasn't. I bailed. Bad me.

Maybe the Trolls can come back now that the fantasy door has been thrown open again.
I'm surprised they haven't gone all Disney Freakin' Princess on us all.

They're as close as they can be without getting sued.

Is it just me, or do you think an entire generation of Disney Princess wanna-be's is going to make one big generation of horribly spoiled little girls?
