I realize this takes conservation and frugality to a whole new level, but I can't help thinking it looks very pretty, too. Or at least it would if you finished the plywood top. Hack a Toilet for "free" water.

I also want to make one of these. Retro Hi Fi Rebuild. And store my CDs for it on shelves like this. Hungarian Shelves.

The wheat-free thing is going depressingly well. I'm down another pound and a half. So yeah. Four and a half pounds gone in two weeks (and one of them, I was on my period). Looks like I'm one of those lucky Wheat-Free people now.

The chemise is finished and looks great. I'm very happy with the ribbon detail I added and the gores add the perfect amount of flounce. I'm on-schedule with the self-imposed deadlines that will have me finished with The Costume by Wednesday. Let's see if I stay on track during the weekend.

Speaking of getting things done for this costume, I'm leaving work an hour early today so I can run some errands. I need to get the stuff to mod a gun. Or maybe a sword. Maybe both. But whatever, it's all happening this evening because you bet your boots I'm not going to run around town any more than I must this weekend. C-R-A-Z-I-N-E-S-S.

At cons, guns are only allowed for the duration of the masquerade if one is in it. A sword would likely be a safer option, thought they likely are also not allowed.

I agree with you on that. I'm having some sort of weird reaction where I can literally feel my waist expanding after I eat some things. It happened to me the other day with a slice (a slice!) of bread. I can give up bread pretty easily, I'm still searching for a good substitute for a nice cracker for cheese.
