It's going to be a long day.
I came in this morning, hoping to work only half a day. I admit I hadn't announced this to anyone, other than a casual mention-in-passing to the main receptionist secretary yesterday afternoon. When I got in this morning, the HR secretary had already sent out an email telling us that she's leaving this morning at 10:00 after she wraps up some paperwork. That leaves only me and receptionist secretary in the office. So much for my early exit.
I suppose I should do some more work for the CSSF website. I'm going through the CSSF SF Library page and updating all the links to show a purchase option from Amazon and Powell's. It's excruciating. Remember how much I hate HTML editing? Yeah. Talk about labors of love. This is like Forty Hours of Contractions and No Epidural Labor of Love. It will be nice to finish that project, though, and I have (checks clock) six hours to do so. Entirely do-able.
Last night I had a (planned) binge. I made Velveeta Ro-Tel dip with venison (instead of browned hamburger) and ate it with corn chips. It was...okay. I didn't enjoy it as much as I used to enjoy Ro-Tel dip (which I know is nasty, but we all have our secret gross food loves). And if I didn't absolutely savor every single mouthful, what's the point of a binge? Boo. Disappointing. Lesson learned, and that particular unhealthy indulgence is now crossed off my list of Naughty Cravings. On the plus side, I'm only mildly bloated today from all the sodium. So...yay?
Lots of liquids today to get all that flushed out before we head off for the demolition derby this evening. The last thing I want to do out at the fairgrounds is pee every thirty minutes.
Is anyone going to the Little Green Festival in South Park tomorrow? It sounds fantastic, but I have costuming responsibilities. Boo.
