Ring, ring

Last night was a wonderful dinner withstarstraf and company. What a lovely surprise--Lawrence has another good BBQ place! The place that went into the old Bucky's Burgers (there on 9th, by The Merc) is quite tasty. I'm fairly picky about my BBQ (Arthur Bryant's = gross) and these ribs were good. Lots of meat, very tender, and thoroughly cooked without being dry at all. In fact, I ate most of mine without additional sauce. Mmmmm. Oh! And vinegar cole slaw. Bonus! starstraf, please remind me of the name? I've forgotten.
Before I forget again: One of my many purchases this year at faire was a pinky ring! Yes! Silver Dreamer has rings small enough to fit my pinkies. They even had some that were (get this) too small. The size 1 1/2 fits my right pinky. And it has a heart design! Adorable.
I want to start sewing myself a new fall wardrobe to match my new body. It's a good thing the weather didn't change quite as early as it threatened to. I'd have been out of luck for office-appropriate cool-weather clothing. Here's hoping I can continue to limp along with my cotton skirts and dresses for three more weeks. Tights, boots, and cardigans are my heroes.
