First day of the new year
Yeah, it's the fifth day of January, but I didn't really start 2004 until this morning. You know how it goes.
Made it to the gym thanks to
0's mom, who picked me up this morning, and will be doing so through the winter. I can get up to go to the gym, but I can't bring myself to scrape the windshield. So nice handy dandy ride to the gym means No More Putzing Out over exercise.
I just found out an old friend of mine,
mac, is on LJ, although he moved back here in freaking October and didn't tell me so I don't really know what to think of that. I guess it could be that I never called or emailed him when he moved to Colorado, but come on, why would anyone hold that against me?
I guess most of my friends survived New Year's just fine and although the party was about half the size we'd expected, I hope every body still had fun. Thanks to everyone who attended! It was great to finally meet some of you in person (when you were not in RenFest costumes).
We gave up on URU, dammit. What a poorly written game. There were so many stupid puzzles, it just failed to be rewarding--even after you solved something! There was one that required you to move a chair to a particular position. Using only your feet. In waist high water. Asinine. So unless Rand and Robyn Miller decide to return to write Cyan games again, I will not be purchasing any more. =(
On a happier note, I have a new hat! It's very warm. I have the gray one. Alas, the store was out of the black in size small for my pinhead. The gray is still awful cute.
