Starting out with a bang

I've never been much of a diary-keeper, so this will be an experiment in self-discipline. I love reading other livejournals, however, and a combination of curiosity and egoism encouraged me to start my own. We'll see how this goes.

Let me tell you about this dream I had on Tuesday night. I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do, they're really something.

I was at a lake resort and what I remember opened with me in the water, holding onto the side of a small boat that was shaped like a sofa. I was holding onto the back of it and being pulled alongside, very slowly, and the water felt soft and comfortably cool. It was murky green water and I couldn't see through it at all, so I got onto the seat part of the sofa boat. I was wearing a cute pinup style one-piece bathing suit with a little skirt. I think it was red and blue.

One of the popular activities at the resort was to dive down to the bottom of the lake, find an alligator, grab it in your hands and shoot up to the surface with it above your head. The spectators could see you coming up to the surface, with the alligator lying quietly and comfortably above you in a soft arc. For a moment, you would be suspended above the water, then you would sink back down and release the alligator who would presumably swim back down to the lake bottom to wait for another ride. I watched a couple people do this but didn't try it myself. I don't like water, really. I think that bothered me more than the alligators.

Back at the resort, which was a huge Spainsh-style mansion surrounded by forest, I wandered through rooms, none of which ever seemed to lead to the same room twice. I remember a gloriously pearly tiled bathroom with a huge tub and enormous lush white towels.

I left this room to find myself in a bedroom/lounge area, even though I was sure I was going back to my own room. In the room was Michael Rosenbaum, or maybe Lex from Smallville since he was bald. I don't know if we were long-time lovers, or if this was a first-time seduction. Either way, it was pretty enjoyable. I realized that he owned the resort and the house was alive. He could manipulate the rooms by asking the house to move. In retrospect, this fascinates me as much as the erotic part of the dream (is that sad?).

I know we had some conversations about keeping the affair secret, but I don't actually remember any more of the dream.

If this is what happens when I watch two TiVo'd episodes of Smallville in a row, I should probably do it more often. Next week: Watch three Farscapes on Tuesday evening.
