I'm tired. Really tired. And I'm tired of being tired. I've been tired for a month now.
Ugh.
For the next three days (until I leave for Indy), I'm going to exercise in the evening because I just can't haul myself out of bed to do it in the morning--this is very unusual for me. So in an effort to boost my energy level to the point where I can resume my morning workouts, I'm going to do them at night. Here's hoping.

In all honesty, I'm sure it's my lack of exercise and the fact that I've been allowing myself WAY too many carbs in my diet.

Good luck with exercising.

Had a nap Saturday and I was freaking Mary Sunshine after!

I can ride my bike for exercise first thing in the morning (which is for me, of course, no earlier than 8 am--nothing ridiculous), but somehow that feels different.

Of course, your schedule and your body may be far from typical, and unfortunately, I'm not sure if your workday would allow for that. It worked very well for me, though, as I made that my typical workout time back when I was in amazing shape in Lawrence.

I have serious doubts about any study that says one specific time is a peak exercise time for all of humanity. Making an exception for hugely general statements like "everybody needs to eat" or "everybody needs to sleep" or "everybody needs to breathe" etc., I can't think of any one thing I'd trust to be true for everyone--irregardless of whether it fit one's lifestyle schedule.
Myself? I take a nap at 2:00 p.m. nearly every day.

I think, though, that it does assume a certain "typicality" of people waking up at about 7am, and going to bed at 11pm. And, perhaps allowing for sunlight and its contribution to the diurnal cycle, typical time for meals, etc.
But yes, taking everything with a grain of salt is always a good plan. And I hope you find a good schedule!

My body, left to its own devices, would happily go to sleep at 8:30 or 9p and wake up around 5:30 or 6a--which was awesome, because that gave me plenty of time to exercise, and I was waking up without an alarm so I wasn't groggy.
When I was living by myself and had no social obligations, I fell into that cycle pretty easily. It felt great. Except I could never go out in the evenings.

This "lovely" weather we are having today isn't helping.I hope you can figure out a good solution to get your groove back.
