Low

I broke a nail, all the way down to the quick, on Saturday. So I cut the rest of them off. Uneven nails look awful. When my nails are this short, I like to have a darker color on them, but my collection is sadly short on dark colors. I usually wind up borrowing from [livejournal.com profile] cedarsong and [livejournal.com profile] everflame. The colors I wanted to buy--OPI's "Suzi Loves Sydney" and "It's A Doozi, Says Suzi," are both discontinued, and there wasn't anything else at Beauty Brands that caught my eye. On a whim, I stopped by Target to look at their miniscule selection and found three bottles of "It's A Doozi, Says Suzi." I bought two. Apparently, Target is the second-run movie house for OPI colors. Good to know.

Sunday's Sinfest was fab.

My finger was complaining about doing too much on Saturday (lots of work/cleaning/organizing) in my sewing room, so yesterday I sat on the couch and read. Since I wasn't going anywhere or doing anything, I decided to get through The Left Hand of Darkness, finally. Which I did. Then I needed something short, because it was 7:30 p.m., so I read Dying Inside. I should have had a beer or two before trying to go to bed. What a depressing couple of books to read back-to-back.

Fetish had a great time. Any day I spend that much time on the couch is a good day, to her. But today I'm in a bit of a funk.

And I'm really tired of dealing with Campbell Conference stuff. Does someone else want to do this next year? Because seriously. Bleh.

"Sunday's Sinfest was fab."

Yes it was, but now I have the ear worm.

I have read Left Hand of Darkness three times and I still can't remember a word of it. Dying Inside I called Popping Zits, much to Jim Gunn's horror. Never mind -- I routinely expressed heretical opinions.

Dude, the guy in Dying Inside was such an annoying whiny fuck-up. I mean come on, get over the pity party already! I supposed I'm glad I read it, but geeeeeze.

I would so party with the character of Nyquist, though.

It's A Doozi, Says Suzi -- aw, darn. I love that color. I guess I'll just have to really enjoy the one that I have. I'm glad I didn't bring it to SD with me. With my luck, it would have broken.
