Swell
Warning: Pity party time.
I've got nasty bloating and discomfort again every time I eat. I noticed it on Sunday, but thought it was just a fluke from eating out twice in a day. Yesterday, though, I only had blueberries with cottage cheese for breakfast, I skipped lunch, and for dinner I had an okra/tomato/chicken dish I made myself--so I know there weren't hidden carbs in it.
mckitterick suggested too much salt, but...really? I was bloated so badly I had to take off my pants. I'm pretty swollen today after my post-workout protein drink.
I'll finish off the remaining cottage cheese and peaches today so they don't just get thrown out. Then it's back to animals and leafy greens, probably until after KCRF. I don't have time to deal with going back to KU Med for another test right now. We were unable to replace the front desk receptionist when she left and we don't know if we'll get our student worker back. One of the other secretaries is taking vacation the first two weeks of September and then the other secretary is on vacation for pretty much all of October.
Awesomesauce.
I wanted to cry after dinner last night, but that would've just added a stuffy nose to my misery.
Unresolved G.I. issues might be why I've gained weight this month, despite cutting most grains ('cept for last weekend's binge) and increasing my exercise.
I was getting attached to the idea of being able to eat like a normal person. Dang.

I'll feel better about it in a few days. I can resolve myself to just about anything. But right now I'm totally wallowing in self-pity.
BLEH.
Pity Party
Wallow away. I am with you on that today.

I vote yes...

Out of curiosity... do you need a new student worker? I'm looking for a job, especially if it's something I can do with just my left hand. (Just got carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, so that's unusable for 6-8 weeks.) I can send you my resume, if you like. :)

Hope your surgery wounds heal quickly. Ouch.

I hope you are able to get the digestive issues under control.

But perhaps it's just a touch of overindulgence? I've had it badly today, from a sourdough English muffin AND a burger on a bun. Oh, and some spinach/lentil dal.
I'm taking peppermint oil capsules from the Merc, enteric coated. They are a natural antibiotic/anti-spasmodic and have been helping me quite a bit. when I don't muck up.
I haven't bothered with the test. If the only option is Cipro or something similar, I'm SOL. I can't take it due to it bringing on more of the neuropathy issues.
Have you tried taking some Underberg for the occasional bloating issue, as in, only a bad meal choice? It's the magic potion for me. It's simply German form of bitters in a one-portion bottle.

So. Trying. This.
I haven't tried the Underberg, no. But I don't worry about the bloating after a bad meal choice. I figure that's my penance. It's when I bloat from okra that I get pissy and depressed.

Underberg is da bomb, it tastes nasty but you knock it back like a shot.
I had to order some from Au Marche, they were out. I guess I've been telling too many people about it.
ETA... and bloating from okra? Yah, I'd be mad too. I'm not real happy that the wonderful Spinach Dal did it to me. It tasted soooo good.
