Sweet Fetish! Aw... My dad had a diabetic cat. After some time with the insulin shots he got better. Apparently, cats can do that. I ham wishing the best for her (and you).
So sorry to hear this. Diabetes is a lot easier to manage for cats than it used to be, but still something you have to stay on top of. Best of luck, she is a sweetie.
Awww. :( My best friend's kitty developed feline diabetes but lived to 17. I helped give her the shots sometimes, it's a teeny little needle and you do it in the thick skin of the scruff of their neck so it doesn't really hurt, it just seems annoying to them. Prudence would shoot you this dirty look from hell after giving her the shot, then five minutes later she'd be OK with you again.
Poor Fetish! But, like so many others have already commented, it's been my observation that kitty diabetes is manageable...so here's to Fetish's health and the well-being of you both!
Poor Fetish. Maybe she'll feel better once she's stabilized then.
Found this site (http://www.felinediabetes.com/) for you, the message boards have lots of info on finding supplies/meds at a better cost. It seems that feline insulin is bloody expensive. Ugh.
I'm glad it seems to be a health situation you can manage and hope it becomes more tolerable for Fetish (adore the name btw). I know several owners who have been through this- hopefully you can receive hints/tips to keep it as low maintenance as possible. ~and good luck with your stitching for the upcoming weekend.

Poor kitty.

The good news is that it's really manageable with the insulin, right?

Hopefully Fetish will adjust to shots and a new diet with ease.
