This hits awfully close to home for me.

Because yeah. I mean, if nothing else, on the dinosaur with the love interest, right? Right?

It's no surprise or revelation that I'm not sentimental. Yes, in fact, I would prefer to regret getting rid of something I'm not using. Rather that than keep it around, you know, just in case. Unworn, but perfectly serviceable clothes? Out. Unused, sometimes even unopened kitchenware? Out. Little tidbits given with good intent but not at all to my taste or style? Out.

I don't keep something just because someone important gave it to me. I'm fairly well-known for that in my family, and this is why my mother gives me the things she doesn't want but can't bear to shed. She knows I'll have no problem hauling it off to the thrift store. This is also why socks are the most common gift I receive for the holidays. You really can't go wrong with socks. Even ugly socks are useful. This, by the way, is not a hint or call for ugly socks, y'all. Srsly.

And even though I'm cold-hearted and unfeeling,

I'm getting this way, unfortunately I'm with some one who doesn't want to offend givers (usually Mom) and what if we find a use for it.

When we do, we'll never be able to FIND item X in all this STUFF! :P

What is up with this weird non-showing comments thing?

So I used to be able to stuff everything I own (outside of furniture) in my car. Then I took this art workshop in Lawrence with this AWESOME artist and now... now... I keep EVERYTHING!!!!! so that I can put glitter glue on it.

Not only do I keep everything- I find myself always looking for things to keep. Like I can't have enough.

Seriously.

I need 12 steps, but I would just find more stuff to glue down.

I'm a hopeless romantic, but that romanticism does not extend to STUFF. It's more about time and people and words and feelings...and STUFF gets in the way of the fullest expression of those things. Or something.

I'm happy that there are people with feelings of sentiment like that. When they handed out Romance, I was waiting in line for Sarcasm. I was way up at the front and didn't want to give up my spot, so....

I am a serious romantic... ESPECIALLY if it involves adventuring together on a dinosaur.

Somehow the words romantic-serious-dinosaur don't seem to go together. Maybe it's just me. =D

I'm totally this way. I am good at dispossession. In fact, if a sweater even looks at me funny, it's out the door. I'll get rid of brand new clothes if I didn't realize when I bought them that the sleeves were weird, or the hem rolls funny.

I'm not as good about that. I still have a number of things that are around just for the sentimental value of it. Some items I have for the sentimental value of the rest of my family, and I can't get rid of it until all in the generation above me dies because I have to be able to produce it on demand or at least honestly say "yes" when I'm asked if I still have it.
