Yesterday's sewing pattern grief? I am not alone! Check out the photo this blogger took of her mismatched pattern pieces. Is that crazy or what?

Wine, stuffed mushrooms, good friends, lemon bars, and piles of pre-1985 porn. What a fabulous combination! Just sayin'.

Oh my dear god. There's a class doing a reading of some play in the conference room that shares a wall with my office. Whomever is reading the female part is chewing up the god damned furniture with her overacting. She sounds like a shrill vaudeville performer. I'm waiting to hear "But I can't pay the rent!" u-g-h.

It's over now. Thank goodness. You know those actors that want to make sure you really know that they are acting? imagine me waving my hands and looking to the heavens in a theatrical manner here

HA! I love that. Like when the say "over there" and feel like they have to point in that direction with their entire body. Or "I don't know" and do that palms to the heavens shrug with their arms and shoulders. MAN I love that stuff. It's called Indicating, and should be illegal.

OH. or when an actor has a funny line and delivers it directly to the audience so they know when to laugh. That one's awesome.

Aw, yeah.

I did a staged reading of a short play this weekend and it was a great lesson in under-acting. We were on book, so that cut down a lot of gesturing, plus I had to hold onto a helium balloon without letting it go early, and I had to (literally) support the elderly gentleman next to me who was playing my father--who nearly fell down twice despite having my hand under his arm the whole time.

Fortunately, I didn't have to do much acting for the part since I was playing a sarcastic fag hag.

What a horrible pattern! Is this typical for Vogue?

I have discovered that I get a little dizzy when I look down at the pattern. Makes me wonder what I'm doing to other folks!

Not typical at all. I've never had this experience with any sewing pattern before. Of course, I sew with Vogue the least of any of the pattern companies, but I can't imagine that this is very common.

I'm happy the final result fit you!
