I just got off the phone with my father. He wanted to make sure I'd be around next week because he's planning to drop off xmas presents. Because he'll be driving to Michigan, anyway, so he thought he'd just hop on over this way. My parents live in Indianapolis. Oh, Daddy. I love you!

His visit means I'd better get hoppin' on the one gift remaining (Nana's apron). It'll be the second project/test drive of anerys's Husqvarna 936 that I'm most likely going to purchase from her. Why yes, I am trying to see just how much money I can spend in the last quarter of 2009.

My savings account is in pain.

This is the busiest time of year for me at my job. It's terribly inconvenient that I desperately want to take some vacation time. I've done very little in the pursuit of my own projects. I want a few days of uninterrupted time to get some shit done, y'all. My planned vacation is January 6 through 12. Thirty days 'til then. You better believe I am counting them down.

Alas, I get no xmas vacation. But starting December 21, there won't be many people on campus, so at least I'll be able to get my work done in peace and quiet.
