Print and Stamp Lab

Heads up, folks! The best DIY art book of the year is almost available!

Print & Stamp Lab, by Traci Bunkers ([livejournal.com profile] bestill around these parts), hits shelves tomorrow. It is beautiful and fantastic! It contains fifty-two different projects for making your own prints with various inexpensive items--some of which you might already have lying around your house. I got to page through my copy last night and I'm anxious to try some of the techniques.

Put this book on your holiday shopping list for all of your DIY or crafty friends. I'm purchasing one to donate to the Lawrence Public Library, and my mother is buying a copy for her library, too. Share the art love! And buy local!

Oo, I'm craving. Thanks for the show and tell! If this book shows how you made that awesome mini-poster you sent me last year, I want it!

It doesn't have that particular topic in it, but she is teaching that very same workshop in an online format and there's still time to sign up!

Info here (http://bestill.livejournal.com/528395.html), and signup directions are here (http://www.tracibunkers.com/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=111&products_id=421).

Oh, Yippee! I was disappointed that I couldn't make it to her last workshop.

I signed up for this one though. I can manage online much easier.

Yay! I'm tempted to take it myself, because I'm sure she'll demonstrate techniques that weren't covered in the postcards workshop I attended last year.

Thanks for the promo! If you haven't already purchased a copy to give to the library, don't--I'll donate one.

I was still waiting on a response to my query as to how to donate a book without donating it "in honor" or "in memory" of someone...so no, I hadn't.

Very generous of you to donate one! I'll still be ordering copies for xmas prezzies for people.
