Bondo.. or hot glue schmeared over it, then covered w/ paintable paper?

nottygypsy says there's a product made especially for this sort of thing--filling in gaps in plastic for painting over. She's going to get the name of it and hopefully I'll be able to find some of it in town. Yay!
