It's a crush panic

I just got a fab bit of information. I'm going to be able to bring my MP3 player and play my music for the Pat gig over the music board/amp setup that the Blades are letting other performers use for their songs. I just need to find some extra RCA plugs. We might have some leftover from when we bought the new stereo stuff. mckitterick, do you know?

I'm still enamored with Tumblr. What a fantastic concept. The execution is a bit messy, and there are definitely things I'd change about the navigation techniques, but overall, I like it. If for nothing else, than for introducing me to BroTips.

Thanks everyone, for the kind words regarding my performance on Saturday. It's been a very long time since I performed for an audience to taped music, and that's a very different skill than wiggling for tips with live drummers at Smoker. Making a good impression for possible paying clients is a Really Big Deal for me right now. I just hope there won't be many other belly dancers in the audience.

The costume is coming along. I made huge progress last night. Tonight, though, I have acupuncture. And tomorrow, a going-away party. Time is definitely running out. I hope to almost finish the belt today over my lunch hour. Then it's just the over-skirt and sleeves, which will be out of stretch lace and shouldn't pose too much of a problem. I hope. It'll be good (for a number of reasons) when this is done. My fingers are tender from all the hand sewing!

I was always a Nick girl, but in this incarnation, I think I lean a bit more toward Roger. How about you?

I have the RCA connector that I got specifically for the Zen. Do you have a pigtail (one into the two) connector?

I have a...three into one. USB, DC in 5V, and A/V out. I'm assuming the last one is the one I'd use for the RCA connector. Yes?

I didn't learn how to drive stick until I was 31, but now I totally prefer it. I bought my current car primarily because of the manual transmission. There was another car that was $1000 cheaper that I was looking at too but it was an auto and and I was like meeehhh.

(well, okay, that sounds a little weird: I bought the car because it was a good car and had good gas mileage and the price was reasonable, BUT: it was also a manual.)

Every time I look at a sports car that has an automatic transmission, I die a little bit. Although new technology makes automatics more gas efficient and faster. Crazy.
