That wasn't so bad. That was the penicillin.
Holy crap, this is an amazing cosplay Tenth Doctor.
I have a new fave Tumblr. This is the funniest one I've seen so far, but this one is my favorite because of the meta.
The visit to Indy was...a visit to Indy. Daddy was sick and slept most of the time I was there. Poor guy. He was able to stay awake long enough on Saturday evening to watch Captain America. I figured he'd like it because there's no sex and no f-bombs in it. Finding a movie that my father and I both might enjoy is very difficult. I was tired the entire time. I'm tired a lot lately, though. The amphetamines aren't working anymore.
Last night I went to my first Crossfit Elements class--where they take baby beginner Crossfitters and show us basic moves and give us an abbreviated Workout of the Day (I'll be calling these WODs, as that's what they call them in Crossfit and I'm not typing out Workout of the Day all the time). Last night's WOD was a ten-minute AMRAP (As Many Reps/Rounds As Possible). The movements were medicine ball slams (five), lunges with a ten-pound plate held overhead (ten total--so five per leg, but alternating), and body-weight squats with the lowest point of the squat being your ass touching your medicine ball (fifteen sweet baby jesus fifteen). I got about two and a half rounds in ten minutes. After round one, my legs simply would not lift me up anymore and I had to take five or ten second breaks. Keep in mind, the WOD was at the very end of the session, after we'd been practicing these movements and doing a jumping warm-up thing for about half an hour.
I still had fun, though, and felt good going home. Then I tried to get out of the car.
mckitterick said he could hear me laughing all the way from the carport--and he was inside the house, watching a movie. Oh, man. I couldn't feel my legs. Crazy. I'm a little stiff today, and I bet I'll really be feeling it tomorrow--when I'm scheduled to go back for my second Elements class. Good times!
Point of pride: I think I was the oldest person there. \m/ >_< \m/
Point of concern: I am super unmotivated at the officeright now today this week at all. Blah.
