Whine and wheeze
Wheeze: The allergies are really kicking my ass. Friday wasn't good and my lung capacity has gone steadily downhill. I'm ok if I'm just sitting still, but even talking takes a little bit out of me. I have a call in to my doctor begging them to renew my inhaler script (that I haven't used in over three years). I'm tired of coughing. Blah.
Whine: I decided I wanted a change from cottage cheese breakfasts so I made up a couple of my sugar-free pumpkin pies yesterday. However, I made the (apparently) wrong decision to play around with the spices. I added cardamom to the mix (as suggested in the directions) thinking that would give it a bit of an exotic flair. Wrong. It tastes vaguely nasty and makes my tongue feel numb. So now, 2 pies down the garbage. Yuck. And no breakfast. Wah.
Had a great weekend that included some craziness (see posts by
bellanorth,
stuology,
_mac_, and
0verdrive) and also celebrated Beltane in a happily appropriate fashion.
Next weekend looks to be a little more sedate since the folks will be visiting. Alas, I'll miss the Sellout show. =(
Might be calling it a short day today since I'm still feeling crappy. Sitting at home in my warm jammies and coughing up my lungs sounds inordinately more comfortable than doing the same here in my freezing office. Cough, hack.
