FB help

A friend of mine posted a lovely photo of me to my Facebook page. I can't figure out how to make it my cover photo and have it fit the space. If I make it my cover photo as is, too much of the photo is cropped out, including his watermark. Not cool.

I tried resizing the photo in Photoshop, no dice. It posts the exact same proportions, just blurrier. WTF. Any suggestions?
