I have a degree in anthropology, so have spent a truly horrifying amount of time staring at bones. Especially skulls. You can tell so much about a person from just their skull...

...the picture where the woman is looking into the broken mirror being held up by a skeleton? It's amusing because that is a male skull... I wonder if the photographer knew that...

I remember watching a show on the history channel called the XY factor about different sexual attitudes. According to the show, many French resistance soldiers escaped through brothels as well because the Germans would not interrupt, but would wait for them to finish. Granted, they didn't give numbers about how many people escaped this way, but apparently it was enough to be a known thing worth trying.
