Insert clever title here
Upon hearing that there is a shower scene with a nude Wil Smith in I, Robot, I might have to revise my decision to wait for video.
I found out yesterday that one of my favorite teen authors (although I read her stuff when I was about 9 or 10), Paula Danzinger, died last week.. Very sad. I came across one of her books when I was cleaning the house Friday--the day after she died. Very sad. =(
Last night I had the pleasure of ripping out the nearly finished panel skirt for the Kodo piece in CotK. The lining had been cut badly (not by me) and I couldn't tack in a normal bag lining. Not only was the piece cut too big, it's slightly on the bias, so it hangs at an angle. Lovely. I had to rip the entire skirt apart so I can use it for a pattern piece to re-cut the lining (on the grain this time) and then I'm just going to tack the lining in and treat the two fabrics as one piece. It won't look as nice, but I still have this costume to finish, another one to start (same costume for another girl) and four more hip scarf-skirts to finish for the finale piece. I need to have them all done by Saturday for dress rehearsal. Sigh. It's looking like Friday's gonna be a "vacation" day so I can everything finished. On the up side, these costumes rock. I promise--photos as soon as I have them.
Can anyone recommend a good foundation makeup that doesn't sweat off? I bought some of the Max Factor 16 hour stuff (I know my M.A.C. Studio Fix doesn't hold up to my copious face sweat) and while I liked the Max Factor for daily wear, I sweat it completely off during a 30 minute dance rehearsal--just running choreography in an air conditioned studio. No way that's going to last me during a day out at Faire, even just walking around at a leisurely pace. Should I spring for Ben Nye greasepaint? Any and all advice appreciated (BTW, this is only for whore days. I don't bother wearing foundation on days that I dance).
