Friday and payday
It doesn't get much better.
Last night's dancing went pretty ok. I dropped my sword. Bummer. Oh well. The second dance went much better and I got the best compliment from one of the grad students who said my abs are actually starting to show. Wooo! Kick ass for me. Thanks to everyone who came to watch (and tipped!).
Tipped the scales this morning at 163.2--a new low!

1. What's your favorite time of year and why?
Summer. It's the only time I'm warm. I love the sun and the long days. I have a definite emotional connection to summer.
2. What's your favorite activity for that time of year?
Being lazy.
3. Do you put a lot of energy into living it up during that season or do you prefer to fly by the seat of your pants?
A little bit of both. I try to get out and about (walks downtown, late evening chat sessions on the back porch), but I also allow myself to just enjoy the light & warmth.
4. Do you find yourself depressed and moody during one of the other seasons that isn't your favorite?
Oh, yes. I have SAD and I usually have to be on Wellbutrin for part of the winter.
5. Would you stop time and keep that same season around all the time if you could?
If I was feeling selfish, yes. But I know some people (weirdos) like winter, so it'd be easier if I could just move to a permanently warm, sunny climate.

1. Choose one person on your friends list to switch locations with for one month. Who is the friend, where do they live and why did you chose that location?
Do I have to switch? Why can't I just visit for a month? That's silly. My main reason for wanting to be somewhere else is to spend time with the person. No one on my friends list lives in Cancun, so I guess I'll just stay in Lawrence.
2. Provide two bits of trivia about your town.
William Burroughs lived here. Wilt Chamberlain played KU basketball here for two years.
3. I come to your town for a visit -- what three places do you take me to during my visit?
Our lovely downtown, Wells Overlook or the Baker Wetlands if the weather is good, and a tour of KU's campus.
4. You are handed a camera, what are four places you take pictures of in your town?
Potter Lake (on campus), Liberty Hall, our old courthouse (the new one is hideous, of course), and some shots of the wetlands.
5. Revisit question #1 - what are five places you visit while you're in your switched location?
Question #1 didn't work so well for me.
